A little bit about me…

October 14, 2007

Yeah, ok, so I gave in.  I wasn’t gonna bore you with this kind of stuff, but I feel it’s probably useful to enable you to make sense of potential future posts.

I’m 23. I’m a youth worker employed by Wester Hailes Baptist Church, Edinburgh, and I’m enrolled at ICC, Glasgow (I’m guessing at this early stage of my blog that the only people who are reading this are the others on my course so you definitely already know this, but whatever).

I’m getting married on 3rd November, now less than 3 weeks away, which is pretty exciting, to Abi. We’re heading out to Egypt for a week’s honeymoon, so hopefully by then I’ll be the fountain of all knowledge regarding managing this blog and will link to some photos when we get back.

Abi tells me I’d “better make this blog pretty entertaining”, so no pressure apparently.  I feel I’m not really going the right way about it so far,  but you’ve gotta get the basic stuff out of the way first, right?

The dawn of new popularity!

October 12, 2007

Hi.  If you’re here, that’s probably because you already know me, so I won’t bother with the usual waffle introducing myself.  If you don’t know me already, I guess you’ll have to make do with the bit of personality that may come across through this blog!

Having recently started the BAYWAT (BA Youth Work with Applied Theology) course at ICC (International Christian College), Glasgow (www.icc.ac.uk) and begun a module in Communication methods, I’ve been inspired to start blogging – mainly just to see how popular I can become and where in the world I can become popular fastest…or not as the case may be - watch this space…

So welcome – and in that I mean welcome to all of you, but am also welcoming myself to the world of blogging. Let’s hope we all have fun!
